AMAZONÍAS, Matadero, Madrid (23/02/2019 – 05/05/2019)

En el marco de ARCOMadrid 2019, donde Perú es el país invitado, el Centro de Creación Contemporánea Matadero de Madrid acoge la exposición colectiva “Amazonías”, una coproducción con el Museo de Arte de Lima-MALI de Perú.

La muestra reúne un centenar de propuestas de 46 autores peruanos y latinoamericanos que se articulan como representaciones y reflexiones sobre la Amazonía, combinando la producción de artistas internacionalmente conocidos con las creaciones realizadas por indígenas acercándonos a sus contextos y tradiciones.

Una visión única de la región amazónica comisariada por Gredna Landolt y Sharon Lerner.

Within the time frame of ARCOMadrid 2019, where Peru is the guest country, the Contemporary Creation Center of Matadero, Madrid hosts the collective exhibition «Amazonías», a co-production with the Lima-MALI Art Museum from Perú.

The exhibition brings together a hundred proposals from 46 Peruvian and Latin American authors that are articulated as representations and reflections on the Amazon, combining the production of internationally known artists with the creations made by indigenous people, approaching their contexts and traditions.
